Trust

Trust is one of the worlds largest and most secure Crypto Wallets with over 70 million users. As one of the early Self Custodial Wallets, Trust has a large community across the world that regularly use the platform to buy, earn and swap crypto and other assets.

We worked with the leaders at Trust Wallet to transform their brand. As a natural evolution of the platform, the name has been simplified to ‘Trust’ to show their expansion beyond the original functionality of the wallet. A brand purpose around ‘Freedom Foundations’ was introduced that expressed their focus on inclusive design and represents the new Web3 services and infrastructure they provide for their decentralised community.

Primarily a digital brand, everything has been considered for onscreen use and animation. The bright colours are designed to maximise accessibility. Users can now switch between light and dark modes across their digital experience – making number crunching for developers and hardcore crypto users happy. A really fun aspect of this brand is that in white mode the lead colour is the blue, while in darkmode the lead colour is the green. This maximises contrast and allows buttons and key functional elements to achieving AAA compliance for small text usage.

A handy pack of 40+ illustrations have been provided in dark and light modes to make it easy for teams to use across any digital medium. The illustrations reveal the underlying grid of everyday objects, expressing the transparent approach of Trust. The illustrations represent the unique opportunities that you only get in the block-chain world where finance meets digital art. There are a handful of concepts hidden in the set that only the Trust faithful will truly get but everyone can enjoy.

The process was intense. Everyone in the team were given $100 to invest so that we could experience the product first hand. Understanding the jargon around Crypto was a huge barrier, because there is years of accumulated words and acronyms to represent the various functions and services that decentralised finance offers. We spoke directly to community members and users of the platform where we heard first hand about the positives and negatives of the blockchain world. We brought together teams across trust in a series of strategy workshops to define the future direction of the brand and how they could help the Web3 community in new ways, with new services. We captured the spirit of Trust and expressed that in a variety of ways in the concept phase before we ultimately found the final vibrant solution.
