Smithy

Smithy combines the most useful security tools into instantly usable workflows. The platform generates capacity for security teams so they can focus on the big challenges,
rather than repetitive tasks.
We worked with the Smithy team on naming, strategy, tone of voice, identity and digital experience. The new name 'Smithy' (referencing the tool shop) and bold identity is a positive departure from the corporate vibes of traditional cyber security players.

Smithy helps security teams to put together toolsets. So the design vernacular lives somewhere between an IT flowchart and a tool shop. The wordmark is blocky and bold – like the packaging you would see on a box of screwdrivers. The symbol represents two spanners locking together to form an S... somehow reminiscent of a corporate handshake.

There was a time when security teams saved the world. Remember the millennium bug? Nope. That's because nothing happened. Because security teams got organised. Security teams made a stand. And the world worked together to solve real (maybe) problems. Well, Smithy brings the glory days back for security teams – taking their stress away so they can focus on the big stuff – like saving the world. Imagery, scoured from forgotten corners of the internet from our AI counterparts capture the moments of stress and fear that runs through security teams before they met Smithy. Smithy comes to the rescue, taking the stress out of things and giving more capacity to teams.

It can’t fix your marriage, but it can optimise your security.
