Reactor is the infrastructure layer for AI world models. They make it possible for creative coders to build their own experiences using real-time interactive video. We partnered with the team to define the strategy, create a new brand identity and design a visual system built for an emerging category.
One Reactor. Infinite Realities.
World models are the next frontier in AI — not replacing what we create, but generating entirely new types of experiences: instant interactive games, responsive video and training simulations.
The team at Reactor — gamers, VR experts from Apple and hardcore coders — are driven by curiosity and technology. 'We were made to explore', Reactor's purpose, reflects human nature and our drive to create, build and discover new worlds.
The brand revolves around three strategic pillars:
— Create Infrastructure
— Curate Worlds
— Explore Edges
Designing for an emerging technology was an exciting challenge. Six months ago, when we started working with the team, the world models we played with were curious and clunky. We had to design for what they would become, not what they were.
Working on a brand for an AI business gave us the opportunity to investigate and play with every AI tool available, pushing the boundaries of our creativity — and theirs. The tools opened a different kind of journey: rapid visualisation, generative world creation and interactive video. Strategically, we could gather insights and simulate future scenarios, giving rise to a new level of creative experimentation and depth.
We developed an identity system centred on world creation and discovery.
At its core is the Reactor symbol, "Chip" — formed by rotating the two Rs in Reactor. The result lands somewhere between a transistor, a space invader and an ancient artefact. An icon of technology, curiosity and discovery.
Using AI workflows, we transformed Chip into a series of 3D sculptures, placing it within imagined worlds and carving it from natural environments. This allowed the identity to become part of the work itself — not just representing world creation, but actively existing within the worlds Reactor is helping to enable.
We developed an art direction system inspired by creative coders, using AI to generate hundreds of environments that occupy the space between the familiar and the unknown. Single-point perspectives, vast landscapes and urban pathways draw viewers into each scene, with human figures reinforcing scale and presence. The result is a system built for immersion, not just illustration.
All environments were created to work across stills, motion and interactive world models. Using image-to-video tools, we developed moving scenes that let viewers travel through each world.
Inspired by early photograms and long-exposure techniques, we introduced a gold and silver rendering effect — symbolic of Reactor working in the background. Applied selectively across imagery, it suggests worlds actively forming in real time.
We translated the identity into a working system across websites, demo experiences, investor decks, social content, merchandise and presentations.
